Errors and defects in the design of the sleeping bag can greatly ruin the impression of stay and night in nature. So that such an incident does not happen to you, pay attention to when buying a sleeping bag, not some features of its design and the quality of manufacture. First, the seams of the sleeping bag should be fastened around the perimeter. Moreover, they should in no case be through. This applies to both sleeping bags with a synthetic winterizer filler, and to sleeping bags with down. The design of the downy sleeping bags is somewhat more complicated. In order for a synthetic winterizer to not get down into one lump, it needs to be fastened. As a rule, the filler is fastened with the outer fabric and with the internal at a certain distance, which is determined, given the type of filler, its density and volume. In a high -quality sleeping, the seams on the front side should not coincide with the seams on the inner. The second is lightning. It should be strong enough, optimal – eight -millimeter in thickness. Lightning “five” loads does not withstand and quickly breaks. The runner should have two tongues, or one, but reverse, so that it is convenient to fasten the sleeping bag from the inside and outside. See also that the edging seam stretches throughout the lightning, otherwise the fabric will fall under the runner. Sometimes a finishing braid stretches along the zipper. This is not very aesthetic, but quite acceptable. The insulation bar should be attached to the lightning on the inside. This bar has protective properties, and its thickness and width play an important role. Such planks are sure to eat in professional sleeping bags. In amateur, designed for relatively warm weather, the bar may not be. If you buy a sleeping bag for the summer, this is not the most important detail, but in the winter version it should be. Sleeping bags that are planned to start together should be equipped with detachable lightning. And if the sleeping bags have a headrest, then lightning should be right and left. The shoulder bar should be sewn on sleeping bags for winter. Otherwise, through a hole for the face in the hood, cold air will penetrate inside. See that the hood is spacious and warm, and so that when you tighten its cord, the forehead and cheeks are completely closed, but at the same time the end of the hood should be the end of the face. Face hole when you completely tightened the cord, should not be big. In amateur models of sleeping bags, not a hood is made, but a headrest. It is performed in the idea of a semicircle and is a simplified version of the hood. In cheap models of sleeping bags, they save on the headrest, and in the end it turns out to be too small to give the head at least some kind of protection from the cold, it looks like a bucket rather than like a hood. The width of the “Chepchik” does not exceed twenty centimeters. You can distinguish such a sleeping bag without even unpacking it – the price speaks for itself. Usually it is very slightly different from the sleeping bag – blankets with similar characteristics. A good headrest should be forty – forty -five centimeters.
